Bits 'n Bloody Pieces is a quick look at stuff we might have missed, viral-related promotions or light newsy bites that are easy to digest.

Got something weird, or a news nugget, to share that fits in with B'nBP? Send it on over to TO ME RIGHT HERE.

A teaser trailer for 8.13 is here. This is touting the second half of the web series' first season. For more details, follow this link.

DVD art for Zombie Diaries 2: World of the Dead is here, a change from the one-sheet. Dimension Extreme releases the flick on disc October 10.

 Robert Rodriguez
previewed for Mun2.tv his fake trailer for Killer Tacos. Silly stuff that finds the Planet Terror helmer returning to grindhouse territory and treading in the waters of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Paul Scheer tells Star News he shares all of his scenes in the upcoming Piranha 3DD with Ving Rhames. Both reprise their roles from the first film; Rhames is apparently afraid of the water after his first encounter with the piranha and it's up to Scheer to overcome that fear.

"It's almost like short film throughout the movie. It's our little journey. We don't interact with any of the other main characters just us on this crazy journey during a piranha attack."

Devin, over at Badass Digest, reflects on a Little House on the Prairie episode that scared the shit out of him. The two-parter focuses on a rapist and carries shades of a giallo film. Check it out. (The rapist looks a bit like the Carver on Nip/Tuck.)

Fresh art is in for Pennhurst, the horror film directed by Michael Rooker starring Rooker, Beverley Mitchel and Haylie Duff. The film is set in a psychiatric hospital where a TV crew discover something worse than the ghosts haunting the place.

Anchor Bay's DVD cover for The Howling Reborn takes its cue from the original, far superior, film.

Real shocker here (feel my sarcasm), Sea and Be Scene reports Stephen King has a cameo in Mick Garris' Bag of Bones mini-series for A&E.; He'll play a clergyman. Also, young actress Caitlin Carmichael has joined the cast.

David Goyer spoke with the L.A. Times' Hero Complex about The Invisible Man remake. He said the film still has a pulse at Universal.

"It's something slowly working its way through the Universal development channels. It's still alive. We did some pre-vis tests and things like that that they were very happy with. Now we're going through the casting process. if they get the right lead, theyll make it."

A rave-filled British poster for The Woman.

Sheri Moon Zombie's clothing company Total Skull has premiered its first commercial. Scout Taylor Compton was unavailable for the lead, so they found someone close to her instead?

The supernatural-comedy The Night Shift has been picked up by R-Squared Films. A Fall DVD release date is coming.

John Ajvide Lindqvist, the author of "Let the Right One In," has a new novel, "Harbor," hitting stores this October from St. Martin's Press. Here's the plot crunch.

One ordinary winter afternoon on a snowy island, Anders and Cecilia take their six-year-old daughter Maja across the ice to visit the lighthouse in the middle of the frozen channel. While the couple explore the lighthouse, Maja disappears -- either into thin air or under thin ice -- leaving not even a footprint in the snow. Two years later, alone and more or less permanently drunk, Anders returns to the island to regroup. He slowly realizes that people are not telling him all they know; even his own mother, it seems, is keeping secrets. What is happening in Domaro, and what power does the sea have over the town's inhabitants?

Every poster or DVD cover for zombie movies always has a close-up of a zombies hand now.

Congratulations to Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan on the birth of Retard, the newest addition to the family! Rebel, Racer, Rocket, Rogue, and Rhiannon are so lucky to have a new sibling. Welcome to the world, Retard Caligula Rodriguez! You are loved.

Presley you are so sad. don't have children ever. one of you is enough to make humanity weep. anywhoooo.....i love Sheri and TotalSkull and that girl TOTALLY looks (at first glance) like Scout! i wonder why they just didn't have her do this (i love Scout too). and hopefully we're getting a P3DD trailer with APOLLO 18 (since they are both Dimension films)?
