The Mummy's Blog

Now, where was this guy when I wanted to know all the dirt on
The Fast & the Furious or
xXx?
Director Rob Cohen recently agreed to
blog his experiences working on Universal Studios' 2008 tentpole sequel
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (which sounds an awful lot like some DTV animated sequel title, I hope they change that). During his twenty-week shooting schedule, Cohen will pop in from time to time with updates. Currently, five weeks have been completed up in the Montreal area.
Plot details are no longer a secret - the O'Connell clan take on a mummy emperor from China - but Cohen has shed some light on a few more details, such as what challenges are in store for the family:
"Crash landings, treks thru the Himalayas, Yeti, avalanches (bigger than the one I did in "XXX"), Shangri-la, three-headed dragons, pools of eternal life, epic battles, a shape-shifting Jet Li... I could go on but I dont want to give it all away," says the director.
One word: Yeti. My reaction? YES.
