this looks like garbage. I really hope none of you guys ACTUALLY think this looks good! I'm sure that all of you Zombie haters will say it looks amazing compared to the latest Halloween 2 pictures, but that would just be further proof that anyone who would see this non sense over "H2" on Aug 28th is utterly and completly out of your minds! I know where I'll be, watching a REAL horror movie, not some bs teeny-bopper dawsons creek episode with lame "never saw that coming" deaths!
Halloween 2 in theatres Aug 28th!

Wow! you certainly have a grudge against Destination man. I do think it looks good and I will go see it. But it doesn't I wont go see H2 too.
Don't be a hater.

i'm not really into these movies (not since part 2) but this pic and these FX look (WONDERFULLY) gnarly! cool!
Posted by: djblack1313 on July 9, 2009 at 16:04:44
oh, i forgot, i'll be at H2 on opening day!
Posted by: ico on July 9, 2009 at 16:19:32
I've seen pictures of a man who had his head run over by a semi and it looked like that. Thats pretty good and realistic.
Posted by: That Guy on July 9, 2009 at 16:43:11
Hilarious! It's going to be the feel good movie of the year.
Posted by: M on July 9, 2009 at 17:02:36
Right Ruckus, whatever, this looks like "garbage". Thanks for the H2 commercial.
I hope people realize this isn't a picture from the movie itself with the lighting and the scenes cut into place. No ones really going to be able to judge how this looks till its on the set (which the trailer in the background obviously points to it not being on set yet)and lit and framed the way it will be seen in the movie.. Till I see it explode I pass no judgment..

those girls need to be careful when they walk outta their trailers in the morning....geez

Seriously, I hope people make the right choice on August 28th.
See Halloween 2. Horror fans, make the right choice next month.
Posted by: JohnnyRuckus on July 9, 2009 at 22:18:01
Thanks for the back up T. I'm glad I'm not the only one with some sense here.
And "M" dude, relax, I'm not totally bashing your little movie, I'm simply saying that the picture shown above looks like garbage. I know this isn't the scene from the movie, I was simply commenting on the picture. That's all.
But while I am on the subject, a tire hits her in the back of the head and this happens? really? that's the best they could come up with huh? interesting!
Don't fall for the "3-D" hype, this movie will still miss the mark, I ASSURE YOU!
Posted by: GW on July 9, 2009 at 22:22:13
Have to admit, it does look pretty darn awesome. In a "I think I'm gonna vomit" kind of way.
As I've said before, I'll be at H2 opening weekend, but I'll probably support this at the theater as well, if only for the immersive 3D gimmick.
A note to my fellow Zombie fans - let's not come in here and do what the Zombie haters do in "our" threads. FD should be a fun romp even though it looks like mostly the same stuff over again. The fact that we have two potentially good horror films to choose from in one weekend is great. I wish we had that problem every weekend.

awful

I dont care if I get chopped up for saying this, but I really believe FD4 is worried about going up against H2. Why have they given stills out, of almost every death that happens in the movie. The trailer showed how the death scenes are gonna take place, then some of the pics show what happens after. So basicly if you're not slow, you should be able to see the death scences in your head by now. I hope theres a huge body count, b/c if not then every death has already been given away, when those should be kept secret to build up the little suspense it has. Atleast it would be a bit more interesting. In FD4's case less is more. The Final Destination movies (besides the first, since it was the best in my opinion) have been predictable. This one is a dead giveaway. All the deaths I've seen have looked cool, but it lowers my interest, being that its all "been there, done that" and "seen this, saw that". Atleast for H2 I dont feel like I've seen everything there is to see. Final Destination movies, you only see for the crazy deaths but whats the point, when most of them have been given away already? My money is going towards H2 opening night. Ill wait to see this on dvd, it will be another blockbuster weekend movie...in 3D

I agree with WiFi, the trailer barely did anything for me. And now there are pictures like every other day showing another death(or vision maybe). As if the FD movie weren't already predictable, if they give everything away now, there’s nothing to look forward to besides the 3D affect. I know they gotta hype this movie up to against H2, and yes that does look crazy awesome, but after part 3 I lost almost all interest. If they had changed the formula up a little bit, then my interest might have came back. Since they didn’t, everything is “been there, seen that”. Ill get around to this movie eventually, but there’s no need to say who Ill be supporting on Aug 28 :)

WiFi, you're right. i didn't even think of that (regarding so many of the deaths being spoiled). between the pix online and in the latest issue of FANGORIA and as seen in the trailer we know how MANY of the deaths are going to go down. not that i'm saying it will ruin the "fun" of the movie (even though i don't really care for the FD movies) but......
Posted by: djblack1313 on July 9, 2009 at 23:02:40
oops i forgot, in the FANGORIA article with the producer Craig Perry of FD4, according to him they HAVE "changed up the formula" because instead of being in a moving vehicle/plane/whatever THIS movie has the victims stationary and it's the race car that is moving and coming at the vics (I KID YOU NOT, THIS IS WHAT THE ARTICLE SAYS!! lol). AND AND AND Perry continues to boast saying that they did a "survey" comparing the FD4 FULL trailer to H2's TEASER trailer and that it was much more excitement inspiring than H2's (admittedly) crappy TEASER. they need to compare the FULL H2 trailer with the FD4 trailer. Perry also (annoyingly) said in the article "If i were Harvey Weinstein (DIMENSION), i'd move off that date."
um, F^UCK YOU PERRY. i think not!
Posted by: moviewizguy on July 10, 2009 at 00:24:55
I don't think they spoiled a lot of deaths so far...lemme think. Hmmmm...I only count one and it's this one. No other actual deaths has been spoiled and no matter how you think one thing is going to happen because it was shown in the trailer, it'll probably end up differently in the movie. Have you seen the FD3 trailer? If so, then have you seen the movie and see how the fake death scenes were manipulated on the trailer to make it seem that, for example, [[[[*SPOILERS FOR FD3*Lewis was going to get decapitated by the swords but in the movie, he was crushed by the weights*END SPOILERS*]]]]?

I'm not bashing "Halloween II" (I'm fairly ambivalent about the film) and I'm not a Rob Zombie hater either (actually,I thought "The Devil's Rejects" was a great movie) but I wanted to point out to the individuals bashing "The Final Destination" that there is inherent irony in criticizing this series for a lack of originality while simultaneously singing the praises of H2..which will be ninth film under the same brand name (not to mention the second film to bear the title "Halloween II") that will depict Michael Myers terrorizing his sister Laurie.

I don't know why everyone keeps hyping H2 as a REAL horror movie. If it were real, it wouldn't be a remake, so shut up all of you imbeciles. At least FD4 is an ORIGINAL sequel, and not some updated, extra-gory incarnation of a movie made 30 years ago. JohnnyRuckus is a dumb****.
Posted by: JohnnyRuckus on July 10, 2009 at 10:05:56
Hey "Stupid." Perhaps you should do a little homework before you open your mouth and let your lack of knowledge do the talking.
Halloween 2 is an original sequel! Zombie is taking his characters from his movie and developing them in a way that NO ONE has ever done. Yes this is the 9th in the franchise, but only Zombies 2nd. I think anyone with a brain knows that the first half of the movie was completely original and the second half was following the footsteps of Carpenter in order to fulfill the "reboot" tag it was given. The sequel however, is nothing at all like Halloween 2 from '81. Once again Zombie has taken this franchise in his own direction despite being hated on by all those fans who think anything "new" is a bad thing. That is why it's a "real horror" movie.
The only final destination has done to change anything is come up with a few new ways for inaminate objects to kill people. Wait let me guess, movie opens, group of kids are at a race, one has a horrible premonition, talks the group into leaving. The rest of the movie focuses on the group trying to stay alive while "cheating" death. That is UNTIL. . . wait for it. . .oh they get killed by something random while doing something random. WOW! Now that is what I call original and authentic!
