wow theyre changing directors again? this is what gets annoying cuz when they keep changing directors the style changes a lot and they start to become not like the ones we liked from the first 5..i hope its good tho

Can't wait.
I've asked this question before but, what do you think is the time span of this series? Saws 3 and 4 take place at the same time and Saw 5 takes place like 2 seconds after 4, i also know that Donnie Wahlbergs character was being held for 6 months before he died, so how long do you think it is?

Im ready to see someone come from the missing abyss aka 'Dr Lawrence Gordon' we have yet to see what happened to him, I think he's still alive. and the box that the ex wife got from the lawyer maybe some thing we need to look fwd to as well.. cant wait til next halloween, not sure why it says TBA 2009, may as well fill in Oct 30th 2009.

Saw 6 is tentatively set to come out on Oct 30th '09 and there are people that think that Dr.Gordon is still alive and possibly helping set up the traps.Alot of the traps are very intricate and require some medical knowledge,so why not Dr.Gordon? It's too bad about Amanda not surviving, because people in real life have survived being shot in the neck.Too bad Saw 6 is a year away, because i'm looking forward to see it.Saw 5 was cool.

I think Dr. Gordons return would be awesome but i doubt it because the actor who played him, Cary Elwes, sued the filmmakers for not getting the amount of money he was promised and it apparently didnt end well, so i'd be surprised to see him.
If anybody has any idea to my question in my previous post, please put it on here, even if it's just an idea. I'm curious.

saw V was great! alittle to much like II, but I still wonder what happened to Daniel and Dr. Gordon. So far they have been the only two to make it through the game and not come back in the movie. It was obvious in saw III that the cop was helping him when he put that piece in his pocket from where that man had to try to get out if those chains. I guess I just wanted to be surprised.

I didn't care for Saw V much. I didn't get that "Ohhh, I see" factor from the fifth movie that I got from the previous ones. The movie didn't end with someone in trouble somewhere or with some type of cliffhanger, the movie just ended with everyone dead and the bad guy getting away. I missed Jigsaw being the bad guy really, which made the first movie in my opinion.
Could the 6th movie have something to do with the box that Jigsaw's wife got after he died?
For the most part, I'm not really excited about a 6th movie because I was let down by the 5th so much, but it will be interesting to see what story they will tell.

I'm pretty sure his wife has some part to play with being given the mysterious box with the unknown content. For some reason I can't help but think the detective isn't done just yet but even once the film is out (cause supposedly it's going to be the last Saw movie) the videogame, yes a Saw videogame is in the pipeline, is going to carry on the story.

you know, im pretty sure that saw5 actually took part before the tape was played at the beginning and end of saw4. because it mentioned on the tape even though he helped him it was not over for him.
saw6 should be exciting, ive not seen any official information on its release yet though?

I don't think that the box he gave his wife was really that significant to where it'll show up in the next movie. I think it was just a "clue" to her that lets her know he is still alive. That's my guess..

I disagree. I think it will be like the tape covered in wax in part 3 showing up in part 4 which leads into part 6. It's probably not going to be part of the main plot but i think it will be needed for something important.

Dear God! Why won't they stop?
Posted by: Lizzie on November 14, 2008 at 19:07:06
Dr Gordon and the other Man who was in the room with him were both killed by Amanda in either 3 or 4 watch them again, she goes back into the bathroom and puts a bag over one of there heads and something else to the other one, she also should have let the female cop go who put her hand in the acid and unlocked the rib cage trap, but she stood at the doorway and watched her die any way, she should have been let go and so should the others who passed the tests, but that was the point made that she didn't let any of them go and she developed a thirst for killing them all thats why she didn't let Dr Lynn out of the head trap when jig saw told her to.
I think his wife is evil and has something to do with it as she helped make the good cop look like the killer by saying he was following her. We know thats not true.
All the saw films are outstanding, i was only dissapointed in 4 that we didn't see what happened to Lynn and her husbands daughter.
Im glad there is a 6 can't wait.

Sorry i got it wrong. I thought We saw dr gordon die but the official website says he is unknown/probably dead. I don't think he will be saw's other accomplace though other wise we would have seen himin saw 4 or 5 working with amanda, the bad detective and jig saw. I don't think they can suddenly bring him back now from the 1st film into the 6th one, not as a bad guy anyway, there is no way he would be a bad guy he was just so nice and so much of a family man, if he is alive he will be tucked up with a false foot with his wife and daughter for sure.

Sometimes the best thing about sequels is that it has an ending.
Posted by: ico on November 15, 2008 at 00:04:55
It's not just about gore.
I like this series not because of the blood and torture but because of the complicated, intertwining storylines. I'v always liked that kind of stuff where you really have to get into it to understand whats going on and watch the films repeatedly just in case you missed something the first time. I think that may be one reason why some people don't like it, not because of the violence but because they wont or can't follow the overall plot. You can tell they are planning this series out beforehand like with the tape in wax and the box his wife gets, each one leading into another movie. There have been differing rumors of how many more sequels there will be, from one more to never ending but whatever happens, i'm looking forward to the future of this series.
I would like to know if anybody feels the same way or disagrees and if you know the answer to my first post please answer.

Have I missed something? at the end of saw IV a tape is taken from Jigsaws stomach which states Hoffman will be tested. What has happened to it? it seems to me that it has been forgotten? Can someone please help me?
Posted by: Glenntn on November 15, 2008 at 07:22:34
He's continuing the work of Jigsaw. That's the test, if he can do the work like Jigsaw did. "I'm still among us" --> Hoffman.

To answer your question, I once heard that Saw took place over the course of 8 months, and I'd say that Saw II took place a couple of weeks after I. From Eric smashing his foot to Jeff's/Rigg's tests was 6 months, and V happened just days after IV. We have no clues as to the time between Cecil and Hoffman. Putting this all together, that's a timeline of 14 months, (I'd say) 3 weeks, and 2 days. That doesn't include Cecil. I'd say from a year and a couple months to a couple years. Honestly, who knows how long the timeline is? We aren't givan actual references to the date when events occur. To quote Jill, "John's life defies chronology."
As for Saw V, I liked it. I'm really excited as to what'll happen in Saw VI. Part of me wants them to go past 6 films, but part of me wants VI to answer the remaining unanswered questions (which would spell out the end of the series). They did a really good job with Saw VI, and it'll be interesting to see them top it with the next installment.

Finally, someone has an answer for my question. Even if your answer turns out not to be true, thank you. I agree in that one side of me wants it to end with 6 just to have a satisfying/thought out ending yet at the same time i'd also like o see where it could go. I always hoped, and thought Saw 4 (at the time) would end with, Jigsaw having multiple "sudents" all over the country, maybe even the world. I liked Saw 5 because it more tied in Saws 1 and 2 because i'v always felt they were the outcasts of the series because it didnt really become episodic till part 3.
If anybody else has a different answer, please put it on here, i'd like to know.

To answer your question. Saw 5 took place between the autopsy scene seen at the beginning and end of Saw 4 and the main plot of the same movie. So in other words it's, main plot of Saw 4 - Saw 5 - autopsy scene and Saw 6 will pick up from there.
Thank you for reading (if you did).

Is the black box that jigsaw's wife got from his attorney going to be pandora's box. Can't wait to see SAW VI. All the saw movies were great. Don't be surprised if the FBI becomes more involved. What if the little girlwho was kidnapped by jigsaw in SAW III and saved in SAW V holds the key to some mystery. Well, just a thought.
