Rave reviews are comin' in for George Romero's Diary of the Dead which premiered Saturday at the Toronto International Film Fest. That's good news for many. And it gets better.
The Weinstein Co. has purchased the North American and Mexico theatrical distribution rights for a cool $2-2.5 million. The film's producers had sold distro responsibilities for Romero's latest to all territories but the States until recently.
No word yet on what the Weinsteins' rollout plan is. Keep your fingers crossed we won't have to wait long for that domestic release.
